Description
The US Navy would like to take advantage of the abundant energy sources that reside in their operational environment to enable sustained missions supporting undersea systems. In particular, vast numbers of methane seeps and methane hydrate deposits are increasingly being discovered around the world in relevant operational areas nearer the coasts. Triton proposes an innovative benthic gas harvesting and conversion system to provide kilowatt-scale electrical power.
