Description
This SBIR Phase II proposal is for continuing the development of a second generation Spacecraft Identification Device (a.k.a. Gen 2 beacon) for the Space Object Automated Reporting System (SOARS™) and maturing the supporting ground infrastructure. SOARS™ combines space-object beacons; automated, low-cost, ground collection sites; and a central control center which together provide near-real time 24/7 space situational awareness. SOARS™ and this project are a collaboration between Tiger Innovations Inc. (Tiger) and Keplerian Technologies Inc. (KTi), in which Tiger is responsible for beacon and ground station development and KTi is responsible for the central control center as well as the overall system architecture, user interface, and data products and analytics.
