Description
Zoic Labs began user engagement and discovery with the 614th AOC in 2017 for the AFRL Information Directorate Program “Electromagnetic Spectrum Situation Awareness Operating Pictureâ€Â to build a prototype called SpECTRA (Spectrum Environment for Commander Tactical Response and Awareness), to address a national defense-related mission need in the area of Space Situational Awareness. Design and development sprints for SpECTRA have been in progress since 2017, ongoing to the present date (June 2019). Through these activities, with support from Lt Col Jonathan Mills (614 AOC/SMC/SYF) and through parallel activity involving Maj Alberto Castaneda (Chief, CSpOC Capabilities Integration Office) and other TPOCs from Space C2, Zoic has been identified to continue with the development of SpECTRA, and to help the CSpOC better visualize the planning cycle, prioritize and sort resources for allocation and display degraded regions, effects and impacts both in the form of a temporal chart and a global/theater specific view. This visual tool, along with an automated system for receiving and processing real-time Space Support Requests would allow planners to work more accurately and efficiently within the ATO cycle and be responsive to theater operators who depend on space effects.
