Description

This proposal is for research and development of a methodology for testing high speed input/output signals from avionics line replaceable unit (LRU) in military applications where the militarys automated test equipment (ATE) is from an era prior to the use of signals in the Gbps data rates.A methodology and a novel approach is proposed that not only will supply the necessary stimulus and response environment to test but will actually result in lowering test program set (TPS) development costs.The solution is scalable and can be readily adapted to new and higher speed I/O bus structures.The methodology will also enable testing of bus protocols at various levels.The approach and resulting resources will also readily interface with IEEE-1641 and IEEE-1671 requirements.
