Description
GreenSight (GS), teamed with Oklahoma State University (OSU), propose a passive capture approach utilizing an aerogel based impact absorption surface. Aerogel is the highest specific density kinetic absorption approach, has long on orbit lifetime, and is self healing from impacts. GS and OSU propose to finalize technical and business analysis of a mission concept based on this approach, which the team believes is the most viable candidate for small orbital debris cleanup.
