Description

ABSTRACT: Fully Adaptive Radar (FAR) has emerged as a key potential enabling technology to address a plurality of challenges facing the Warfighter in highly contested operations including Anti-Access, Area-Denial (A2AD). The ability to adapt all radar functions on-the-fly, including transmitter and receiver functions, while affording unprecedented new capabilities for spectrum dominance, immediately gives rise to a major systems analysis challenge since conventional radar modeling and simulation (M&S) tools cannot support such a complicated system. Under this research project Information Systems Laboratories, Inc., (ISL), will develop a new Advanced Adaptive Radar M&S (AARMS) tool to support all aspects of FAR development and M&S and features; BENEFIT: The new M&S tools developed under this effort will facilitate the development of advanced radar modes and capabilities needed to support missions in highly contested operations including Anti-Access, Area-Denial (A2AD). The tools will significantly reduce the cost of developing these new capabilities by avoiding extensive and costly data collection and flight test campaigns.
