Description
Integrated Solutions for Systems, Inc. (IS4S), a leader in advanced PNT technology, proposes to develop and deliver an image-based navigation system prototype that will provide PNT to a mounted platform. The developed system will use multiple, existing cameras distributed around the vehicle that span the visible and infrared (IR) region to capture images of the surrounding environment as the vehicle moves through it. Navigation information will be deduced by tracking environmental features. Additionally, celestial updates will be applied when objects (e.g., bright stars, moon, sun) enter the field of view. The navigation information will be used to correct and reduce error drift in an inertial navigation system (INS).
