Description

Large Volume Motion Imagery (LVMI) is currently collected in areas of US military operations to provide data for analysis of patterns of life and for forensic analysis of human activity in the form of vehicular track. The process for analyzing LVMI data is primarily a manual one, but the volume of data collected by LVMI sensors has far exceeded the ability of analysts to completely process; typically only a small portion can be analyzed. The object of this program is transition to Kitwares full-frame LVMI analytic capabilities (tracking, activity detection, patterns of life) to NGAs enterprise cloud architecture, making them available to potential users throughout the military and DoD. The transition will significant benefit war fighters and members of the intelligence community, as the automated analytics will process and index significantly more LVMI than what is currently done manually. This should directly increase actionable intelligence and improve the utility of LVMI. Automatic LVMI analysis has commercial applicability for law enforcement, event security at major events including political party conventions and the Olympics, and to support scientific research such as for documenting and understanding the habits of humans or wildlife.
