Description
Matching circuit power inductor(s) (PI) applied between sonar senders and silicon-crystal-oscillator (SCO) reduce the sonar senders required output power by matching the senders output impedance to the input impedance of the SCO. Mainstream has developed a unique method of increasing the heat transfer rate from the PIs core and reducing its size, weight, and power. In addition, a novel winding technique is applied to the new PI design that allows more windings per layer, further decreasing PI size and reducing the PIs stray capacitance. Lowering the PIs stray capacitance extends the PIs bandwidth and minimizes its distortion level.
