Description
Increased competition and improved lead times are desired by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for a number of NESO items with annual demand values over $10,000 and fewer than two approved sources. Mainstream Engineerings unique integration of engineering, manufacturing, quality control, and integrated logistics support (ILS) provides the government with the best value for the proposed NSN.The B-52 wing to fairing seal specified in the solicitation has a very limited number of vendors. Mainstream uses similar custom seals for mechanical and electrical compartments on our line of military environmental control units (ECUs). In Phase I, we will work with our seal vendors to develop tooling, fabricate and inspect prototypes, and develop a source approval request (SAR) application to be reviewed with DLA. In Phase II, we will produce and test first articles, complete the SAR process, and scale up production of the desired NSN.
