Description
Yttrium Iron Garnet (YIG) films have enhanced defense capabilities in an increasingly congested RF environment.Single-crystal YIG films exhibit the best performance, showing the lowest losses and sharpest linewidths, but their growth requires specialized lattice-matched substrates.Nanohmics, working in collaboration with the University of Texas and Ohio State University, proposes to develop a domestic supply of lattice-tuned substrates for liquid phase epitaxy of YIG films.
