Description
he Army requires greater Situational Awareness (SA) for the aircrews of rotorcraft. Currently, there is no system in place to provide the aircrew with visibility into the ‘blind spots’ that exist below and behind the aircraft. OKSI proposes an innovative multi-frame super-resolution (MFSR) solution to address this need. MFSR has not previously been applied for near real-time video data enhancement and requires innovation to achieve the necessary image processing quality and speed. OKSI will develop and demonstrate the MFSR solution on surrogate video during Phase-I. During Phase-II, OKSI will produce a standalone system to implement the MFSR solution with low latency on high frame rate video.
