Description

Parts Life Incorporated (PLI) will utilize it's proven SAR Process and Reverse Engineering Risk Avoidance Process (RERAP) to demonstrate its ability replicate the Non Metallic Seal Special Shapes, 5330-01-239-8862, 5330-01-239-8863, 5330-01-239-8864, and 5330-01-239-8863. The DLA will have an alternate source for a part reaching obsolescence and in need of competitive supply. Parts Life Incorporated has created a process map and strategy for gaining SAR approval that focuses on meeting the customer (DLA) demand for replication and while holding a zero tolerance approach to quality issues. The Materials, Equipment, Management, Measurements, Environment and Testing, and Manpower are focused on meeting and exceeding the expectations of the DoD's engineering community. To ensure thatthe Seals are approved, PLI will use its extensive project management experience, reverse engineering creativity on obsolescence issues, 3-D modeling and printing, testing and validation equipment, and prototype manufacturing facility. Parts Life Incorporated is a ISO9001:2008 certified and AS9100 Rev C certified business that has shown strong growth in its relationships with NAVAIR, NAVSEA, NAVSUP, DLA, the Army and the Air Force with prior approvals on over 15 SARs, some that were for the production of comparable seals.
