Description
A pulsed high voltage DC power supply will be used drive an atmospheric pressure plasma reactor with the goal of developing a conceptual design for the purpose of depositing extended solids. The reactor falls within the category of a dielectric barrier discharge where a dielectric barrier covers at least one of the two parallel plate electrodes. It is a non-equilibrium reactor where electron temperature is much higher than ion temperature such that the gas temperature remains low over a wide range of operational parameters. Low temperature operation is important to successful growth of extended solids.
