Description
Improving capabilities of telemetry systems for next generation e.g. (MOKV) missile defense launch vehicles, kill vehicles, and test/target vehicles subsystems can transform operational testing of such systems and has the potential to increase capabilities of systems that rely on radio communications. As these systems, and their test scenarios become get more complex they will require unprecedented connectivity and communications capacity on demand.This transformation will be greatly aided by the development of the proposed Programmable Multi-Frequency Transmitter (PMFT) that: (1) interoperates with existing services; (2) is configurable for a large variety of new services; (3) is compliant with the Kill Vehicle Modular Open Architecture standard for hardware and software; (4) is compliant with the Space Telecommunications System (STRS) standard for waveform portability; (5) drastically reduces cost of ownership (COO); and (6) help MDA missions and OGAs transition to the future near Earth communications architecture where connectivity, availability and bandwidth on demand are as ubiquitous as todays Internet.Approved for Public Release | 18-MDA-9522 (23 Feb 18)
