Description
ABSTRACT: Technology in Practice, LLC (TIP) proposes to use a Commercial of the Shelf turbojet engine to provide the trust required. Control of the thrust will be chosen among 4 different proposed options. In each case the thrust will be precisely controlled by a combination of fore/aft thrust or thrust vectoring. TIP will study various scenarios among these 4 options including maintaining constant engine power or modulating engine power. TIP will down-select to the best option with respect to; cost, schedule, and technical risk.; BENEFIT: With the addition of relatively low, autonomous, controllable, and variable g-profile test capabilities TIP anticipates an increase of test programs at the High Speed Test Track.
