Description
Toyon Research Corp. proposes the development, testing, and integration of an in-house automated 3D reconstruction and wide-area reconnaissance pipeline that provides Special Operations Forces (SOF) mission planners with the capability of automated high-resolution 3D model/scene generation from tactical sensor data and imagery. The proposed development will incorporate algorithms identied in the Phase I feasibility study, including those that leverage recent developments made in stereo satellite 3D reconstruction, heuristic image-pair selection, mobile/UAV 3D reconstruction, and automatic model generation software developed at Toyon. Ultimately this will provide an extensible, standards-based sensor data processing, exploitation, and dissemination environment to SOF mission planners. The proposed prototype will be based on a cloud-based GIS framework, which will provide an intuitive user-interface for queuing, visualizing, exporting, and modifying 3D models and scenes in formats compatible with existing SOCOM GIS and SOF mission planning workows.
