Description
Vadum will implement and test a novel Nonlinear Automated Measurement System (NAMS) instrument package designed in Phase-I to perform very high dynamic range RF two-tone measurements.The NAMS will be an integrated instrument with software for performing rapid, automated linear and nonlinear large signal RF measurements.The prototype instrument utilizes an active feed-forward canceller to achieve a dynamic range of up to 120 dB and will be capable of 400 MHz to 6 GHz operating bandwidth, sub 10 Hz to 100 MHz tone spacing, and up to +43 dBm/channel stimulus power. The design implemented during Phase-II will result in a single system to handle many linear and nonlinear measurement demands with a dynamic range improvement that is multiple orders of magnitude greater than existing two-tone measurement systems.
