Description

With Digital Engineering (DE) and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) technologies enabling the agile and rapid development of U.S. Air Force (USAF) and U.S. Space Force (USSF) systems, automated and open standard digital threads close a critical gap for increasing the velocity of capability analyses, warfighter training, and adversary-based (Red vs. Blue) scenarios. Digital threads are presently inhibited by proprietary interfaces between commercial software products and the licensing fees associated with their use. The DoD’s need for data-driven decisions requires an open framework to integrate MBSE models across the enterprise at greater velocity. As an open-API, open-standard, and operator-intuitive framework, Infinity’s RAPTOR (RAPid Thread ORchestration) integrates MBSE models with digital ecosystems and automates their interaction with analytical tools. RAPTOR is a clear departure from legacy approaches, aiming to empower the Government and industry to employ these open-source threads that maximize decision velocity and the impact of the DoD’s digital investments. The proposed Phase II effort enhances the RAPTOR framework for USSF digital ecosystems to support immediate Force Design and enterprise integration needs, while demonstrating its use for future integration with other DoD services.
