Description
In response to DoD SBIR topic SOCOM17-002 Moisture Wicking Pathway Treatment for Textiles, Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc. (ACT) proposes to develop an innovative moisture channeling textile which has the ability to control the moisture transportation through certain pathways on the textile. With the unique wettability pattern designs, moisture generated from the skin can travel along the pre-determined route and reach other area of human body for a better evaporation. The Phase I effort, will design and analyze multiple textile pattern for its ability to wick moisture, using concepts similar to two-phase heat transfer devices. A down-selected textile pattern will be investigated experimentally, to demonstrate proof-of-concept results.
