and a limited capacity to store the data, the Navy must intelligently allocate available storage to preserve imagery that relates to current and future mission objectives. Current image management and exploitation software does not provide this capability, instead navely deleting the oldest imagery to make room for new data, which can easily discard critical intelligence. To solve this problem, the ATC-NY team will develop the Management Engine for Mission Relevant Imagery (MEMRI), an image management framework that utilizes a combination of established imagery metadata and new objective relevancy metadata to define automated and customizable retention policies for prioritizing data on monitored storage systems.
