Description

Attollo Engineering will continue the work carried out in its successful Phase I effort and develop the components necessary for an end to end shock hardened laser targeting platform. This includes the development of low SWaP, shock hardened drive electronics for solid state laser designators, the development of a minimum profile SAL seeker for 40 mm rocket propelled weapons, and the development of a system prototype for an eye safe, low pulse-energy, high rep rate laser targeting system. The solid state laser drive electronics will enable a nearly 50% reduction in system volume enabling a system that could be weapon mounted. The SAL seeker design allows for the forward placement of the warhead, maximizing its effectiveness. The integrated height of burst capability provides an additional degree of precision detonation. The seeker features low noise, mixed signal electronics with a number of signal processing features that enable high signal to noise for long range acquisition while minimizing the volume of optical and electrical components that may impede the warhead. The eye safe laser targeting system will be developed for field demonstrations of the seeker and will allow for the inclusion of encoded metadata within the pulse stream that can be used
