Description

Ultimately a CUAS system that can detect and mitigate a wide variety UASs that can adapt to rapidly evolving technology, and that can operate in disparate mission environments must itself be adaptable, scalable, and extensible. To achieve these goals, the CUAS Open Systems Architecture (COSA) team proposes an open software defined RF solution and open hardware architecture that can accept third party detection and mitigation techniques. Under this direct to Phase II program, we propose to develop, demonstrate and deliver a robust solution that tackles a significant slice of the multi-dimensional UAS problem, and that is scalable and extensible enough to accept additional solution components that address mitigation issues outside of the Phase II scope. Black River, SRC, and Tracewell Systems have extensive experience in building and fielding SIGINT and radar systems that do just this. For the EW and SIGINT techniques we are proposing, we require wideband sensing capability for precision band jamming, geolocation, and communication. To accomplish this we have come up with an approach that leverages SRCs unique transceiver board design and Black Rivers mastery of general purpose embedded computing expertise.
