Description
Modern collection technologies are providing intelligence analysts and commanders with unprecedented volumes of information. This influx of data includes a myriad of data types including tracks, images, semi-structured reports, video, and audio among others. From this diverse stream of information, intelligence analysts are tasked with ensuring commanders have the most up-to-date understanding of the battlespace including enemy courses of action (COAs), patterns of life in the surrounding area, and information pertaining to key entities and events. To enable analysts and commanders to take full advantage of this wealth of information, advanced analytical techniques are required. To achieve these goals, the DECISIVE ANALYTICS Corporation (DAC) and CUBRC, Inc. team proposes the development of the Dynamic Event Extraction and Pattern Recognition (DEEPR) system to correlate information across data modalities, identify the value of each data point, and recognize important events, behavioral patterns, and long-term trends. Once identified, high value data, events, patterns, and trends will be stored in a compact, common representation to optimize the required storage. Finally, the system will instructively display this information to the analysts for vetting and alerts.
