Description
ABSTRACT: Etegent proposes a novel design to achieve reliable, 1000 Hz bandwidth 6 DOF motion simulation for HWIL testing of seeker and IMU systems at the AFRL KHILS facility at Eglin AFB. Etegent's design significantly uncouples actuators from the motion platform, reducing parasitic mass, actuator dynamic side loads, actuator attachment point wear and failure, and actuator power requirements. An integrated design optimization study will be conducted during Phase I to optimize the design across actuator EM and structural parameters, actuation load path stiffness, motion platform structural dynamics, and sensor and control system approaches. Real-time prognostics and sensor/actuator/structure monitoringand failure accommodation will be integrated into the system.; BENEFIT: Etegent's high frequency 6 DOF motion simulator will enable more accurate, reliable, full bandwidthHWIL simulation/evaluation of future hypersonic and kinetic energy kill vehicle systems, reducing development cost and time.
