Description
TeraDiode will design and build an unprecedented ultra-high-brightness mid-infrared laser based on quantum cascade lasers (QLCs) using its proprietary wavelength beam combination technology (WBC). Only WBC will allow for the combination of multiple diffraction limited QCLs into a nearly diffraction limited common beam. The laser generated here will also have the following desirable attributes: 1) fully modulate-able output, 2) environmentally cooled by direct expansion, 3) coupled output into a high brightness output fiber, 4) designed and tested for environmental and vibration needs.
