Description
The Phase II Effort is focused on development, characterization testing, and implementation of the Automated Central Tire Inflation System on a Pallet Loading System (PLS), with the following primary objectives:Achieve automated and dynamic CTIS adjustment for optimal tire pressures based on terrain characterization and subsequent CTIS mode setting.Increase fidelity of CTIS operation to characterize terrains in smaller more specific segments than legacy/baseline system.Minimize required user input for CTIS operation, while maintaining ability of fully manual selection of operating modes if desired.Provide installation of the system on 8 vehicles and have hardware for an additional 2 vehicles, a System Integration Lab, and a spare for a total of 12 hardware kits.
