Description
HYPRES proposes to develop wideband analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) using ultrafast superconductor electronics integrated circuit (IC) technology. The objective is to build upon our prior work on superconductor ADCs to achieve higher sampling rate. In addition, we propose to pursue architectural innovations to obtain higher resolution than that which was achieved before at a given sampling rate. We will incorporate the newly developed ADC ICs in our digital-RF receiver product that we have previously built, delivered, and demonstrated. Also demonstrated will be new capabilities in digital signal processing over wide bandwidth.
