Description
IERUS Technologies proposes to leverage our existing re-entry vehicle antenna technology to develop a high performance, dual-band GPS antenna for the Navy ENTB vehicle and, in the future, the JTA and CPGS programs. IERUS's existing design was developed with re-entry vehicles in mind and covers the full GNSS band, which satisfies the bandwidth requirements for the C/A and P(Y) codes at L1 and L2. On a related program, IERUS has developed re-entry vehicle antennas directly utilizing the vehicle's own thermal protection system (TPS) as a radome to include performance through hot and cold environments and in the presence of the post-reentry char layer. As applicable, this design approach will be incorporated into the GNSS design suitably modified for installation and operation on the curved aft closure plate of the vehicle. IERUS will perform design to include full-scale vehicle modeling to assess gain coverage and phase ripple, addressing requirements solidified post-award. During Phase 1, IERUS will also fabricate and perform VSWR and pattern testing on prototype elements, mitigating risk early in the program.
