Description
Innovision LLC proposes an innovative and robust solution to this topic, a software toolDACAA (Dynamic avatars with Complete Articulated Anatomy) that can be used to quickly reposition USARIEMs avatars to the desired postures and apply natural motions to them. A template skeleton model with well-defined joints will be constructed and fitted to each individualized avatar. Methods and algorithms will be developed for transforming, morphing, and re-meshing entire anatomical structure. A MATLAB GUI will be constructed for the user to manipulate the USARIEM avatars in 3-D. An open source toolOpenSim will be utilized to simulate the articulated motion within normal biomechanical ranges. We will modularize these functionalities, create interfaces between them, utilize them through micro-services, and integrate them to form DACAA. We have built a talented team with broad expertise and extensive experience required for this project. Dr. Zhiqing Cheng (PI) and his collogues from Innovision have been actively working in the areas of human medical modeling, human body FE modeling, human shape modeling and animation for two decades. Dr. Jingwen Hu and Dr. James Yang, two academic collaborators, are renowned researchers in the areas of human biomechanical modeling and FE modeling.
