Description
This proposal present an indoor GPS satellite constellation emulation antenna array. GPS satellite signals are provided by a multi-channel GPS signal generator. The antenna array emulates GPS satellite constellation by moving on rails, which emulate GPS satellite orbits. Each antenna emulates one GPS satellite and has the same angular speed with the GPS satellite it is emulating. In the GPS satellite emulation process, all antennas point their main lobes to the emulated earth center (or the GPS receiver antenna under test). The same length cables are applied to connect the multi-channel GPS satellite signal generator and antennas, which maintain the same phase/time delay for all the antennas/channels, and the phase delay difference due to the emulated orbits are calibrated. At the GPS receiver antenna, the delay difference is only due to the GPS satellites movement, which is generated by the multi-channel GPS satellite signal generator.
