Description
J3i has developed an armed overwatch and close air support solution, called the Archangel, for the Air Force’s Special Operations Forces (SOF). The Archangel is the integration of two TRL9 technologies (UAV & munitions), through our proprietary Modular Mission Payload Unit (MMPU) & J3i’s Command & Control User Interface (UI). Our solution creates a novel kinetic Close Air Support / Armed Overwatch system filling problematic capability gaps. Specifically, as a modular asset organic to the unit, the Archangel fills the capability gap between traditional airpower and loitering munitions. This need has been documented by the Urgent Statement of Needs detailing this gap Archangel aims to answer. The J3i Archangel is a modification and integration of two TRL9 technologies through our proprietary Modular Mission Payload Unit (MMPU) & Command and Control User Interface to create a novel kinetic offensive (Armed Overwatch) and defensive (Close Air Support) system filling problematic capability gaps.
