Description
Intelligent Automation, Inc. (IAI) proposes to design and implement the CHAOS device. CHAOS integrates the best available state-of-the-art components in the market that are suitable for CHAOS hardware design and implementation requirements. We will pursue FPGA and mobile processor based approaches to develop the main engine of CHAOS to handle the core functionality and communications with the peripheral components. We will develop different software components for CHAOS to perform cross-layer spectrum analysis, reconfiguration and routing to form multi-hop networks with time and location dependent spectrum occupancy. We will also implement software modules that enables a CHAOS device to process soldiers BAN sensor data using BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and UWB interfaces (as needed to support state-of-the-art BAN sensors). A user-friendly and platform independent application for CHAOS will enable users to configure and program the device. We will conduct functional tests and verifications of the proposed CHAOS hardware design. We will also use IAIs radio laboratory to demonstrate the feasibility and use-cases of the CHAOS device under realistic Army mission scenarios.
