Description
Advanced technologies in high pulse rate fiber lasers operating in the eye safe SWIR spectral region, large linear focal plane array geometries, fast sampling Read Out Integrated Electronics (ROICs), and agile beam steering enable the Agile Navigation and Guidance Enabled by LIDAR (ANGEL) active sensor system to substantially meet the requirements for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) to have an effective sense and avoid capability. The compact, Low SWaP-C sensors design is compatible with deployment on such UASs as the Shadow RQ-7. Irvine Sensors Corporation (ISC) has examined several candidates and recommended a candidate for detailed design and testing.
