Description
Nutronics, Inc. proposes to develop a modeling and simulation tool, the High Energy Laser Requirements Analysis, and Engineering (HEL-RAE) tool. The HEL-RAE tool is built from the foundation of the Barchers Covariance Code (BCC) tool. The BCC tool has been well validated against a large volume of field test data in a wide range of conditions with three different levels of turbulence compensation. The BCC tool already includes capability to model tiled and phased array HEL weapon system. The HEL-RAE tool initial release, delivered at the close of a Phase II effort, will enable the Government to perform accurate trade studies for any application. The HEL-RAE tool will also include a Scaling Law version of BCC that will replace the slowest functions with faster running scaling law calculations. The HEL-RAE tool will be delivered with multiple interface levels from Top Level to Typical User to Expert to allow for everything from drop-down menu automated scenario generation to source code level simulation control.
