Description
A Power of Ideas on the Internet (POINT) platform will be developed for the search and discovery of major ideas regarding overseas events that find expression in public online media sites. Through textual analysis of open source content we will trace the emergence and propagation of ideas--as they relate to particular topics and geographic locations. In addition, we will investigate empirical modeling techniques to detect online idea dissemination patterns automatically.
