Description
ABSTRACT: Octex proposes to develop a concept workflow and agile manufacturing cell that will address the need for rapidly reverse engineering, processing, producing and validating tools, fixtures and prototypes. Octex will draw from its experience in evaluating advanced additive technology, rapid manufacturing cells and evolving validation methods. The outcome will provide for the development of processes and evaluation emerging technologies and equipment for transition into Phase II testing and validation.; BENEFIT: There is pressing demand for rapid manufacturing methods for tooling, fixtures and prototypes. Utilizing the proposed processes and agile manufacturing cell will provide for optimized commercialization with aerospace manufacturing support contractors.
