Description
The objective of the effort is to detect airborne IED threats (munitions/explosives on UAS) using the proposed Counter UAS Enhanced Sensor (CUES) system, a scanning optical imaging sensor suite with enhanced detection capabilities tied to polarization imaging. The CUES system will provide counter UAS / airborne IED coverage over 360 with detection capability beyond conventional optical systems. The proposed sensor suite is mounted on a man-portable elevated platform that provides continuous surveillance.Multiple sensors can be mounted on the platform to increase revisit rate and surveillance coverage. This effort addresses SOCOM and SOF capability gaps for counter-UAS with additional applications on both air and ground platforms.Interested programs include SOCOM, JSOC, the Rapid Equipping Force, and the Asymmetric Warfare Group.
