Description
This Phase I SBIR proposal describes the development of a hybrid modeling approach which uses both fast running engineering solutions and high fidelity CFD solutions, to model reentry systems flying at angle of attack. The engineering solution will employ an equivalent body methodology to characterize the enhanced drag and entropy produced by the 3D phenomena. 3D spatial realism will be incorporated by implementing a 3D flowfield morphing technique.
