Description
SI2 Technologies, Inc. (SI2) will enable more accurate trajectory GPS data to be measured on Trident II D5 flight test reentry bodies with our innovative convex , conformal, dual-band GPS antenna CRPA. The conformal GPS CRPA will be integrated with the convex curved aft closure plate on the flight test reentry bodies. The proposed aperture is based on SI2s novel conformal GPS antenna architectures and proven additive manufacturing techniques. Our proposed solution uses conformal apertures to meet the platform requirements.

In the PH I Base, SI2 will simulate and optimize planar GPS aperture performance. We will also simulate the performance of a conformal version of the aperture and develop a manufacturing plan for the conformal GPS aperture technology. SI2 will validate the electromagnetic design and additive manufacturing approach via fabrication and test of planar (base) and conformal (option) proof of concept hardware demonstrators to demonstrate TRL 4 at the conclusion of the PH I program. In PH II, we will refine and optimize performance of the conformal dual-band aperture and will also work to integrate it with the GPS receiver electronics to develop a full system solution.
