Description

Advances in physics-based, multi-spectral modeling and simulation have paved the way to provide an enhanced evaluation environment for current and future weapon systems. These advancements present an opportunity to develop an equally sophisticated ground vehicle model that can dynamically interact with the physics of the scene simulations. Signature Research, Inc. details a solution to develop a government owned software solution which leverages these advancements to produce a Dynamic Vehicle Model (DVM) simulation tool. The DVM will enable the creation of high-fidelity target models for use in the development of next-generation sensing systems. In addition, the DVM seeks to minimize the burdens associated with virtual target generation by incorporating techniques to modify geometric meshes and material attributions in a manner similar to current computer aided design tools. As part of this process Signature Research will apply recognized software system engineering practices to ensure functionality, growth and version control of the DVM tool.
