Description
The Radar Cross Section (RCS) and Radio Frequency (RF) performance are vital elements of the platforms mission effectiveness yet inspecting and verifying their performance while shipboard has proven to be impractical due to the operational impact, cost and logistics footprint of previous methodologies. Therefore, these vital elements may go uncharacterized while deployed at sea, drawing question to the readiness level and thereby reducing confidence that the platform is fully mission capable.
SCI will investigate and determine the feasibility of enhancing the InfiniScan RCS measurement tool to also perform RF assessment, thereby providing a dual-use capability which is directly suited for shipboard operation.
SCI will investigate the feasibility of satisfying the shipboard to air verification requirement stated in this solicitation by adapting the Dynamic REal-time Agile Measurement system to be based on board a ship rather than as a ground to air verification system.
SCI will investigate the feasibility of satisfying the air to air verification requirement stated in this solicitation by leveraging the small form factor, high speed, low power and advanced processing building blocks while and enhancing their capability to be integrated in a pod based air to air verification system.
