Description

SynaptiCAD proposes to create a secure information exchange platform based on an existing, proven blockchain codebase (bitshares). The blockchain, which already provides a completely secure method for exchanging cryptocurrencies, can be extended to any transactional or communications system. A feature in the current bitshares toolkit to write memos, to go with transactions, will be enhanced to provide for general messages and attached documents. Using this enhancement, SynaptiCAD will develop an application for MIPR transactions which will serve as a practical example of the proposed work. Smart contract rules built into the blockchain programming will automatically enforce conformance to regulations, funds availability, payment terms, etc. Cryptographic signing by one or many parties will be available for forms and documents that require it. All messages will be encryptable with public/private keys. SynaptiCAD will also develop an encrypted email and chat application, based on existing prototypes, for general purpose communications. An API that allows users to develop their own applications and rules will be created. Utilities that permit the management of public/private keys will be developed. The existing bitshares web-based user interface will be leveraged to create the front-end of the new functionality and applications.
