Description
STR is teamed with Sercel Incorporated to address the challenge of automated mammal monitoring. Sercel has developed a commercial product, QuietSea, evolved for use by the oil industrys seismic community for mammal monitoring. Sercel complements STRs considerable experience in fielding advanced prototype sonar systems. With this combined experience, the STR team will design and develop a mix of active and passive sonar approaches referred to as Low-Impact Sonar and Transit Ensuring No-harm (LISTEN) System which will simultaneously address the requirements of anti-collision and safe sonar operations.
