Description

Technology Applications Inc. has developed a form of graphite thermal transfer material when coupled with a ThermoElectric Generator (TEG) has the capability to generate electrical power to charge batteries in remote field conditions for the Army Rangers. The key technology element is the use of graphite fibers to remove heat from TEGs to maximize efficiency.Thermal power density of 60 watts per kilogram has been shown to be feasible.Power density (w/kg) is 5 times that of aluminum. The primary benefits of the graphite sheets is their high thermal conductivity, extreme light weight and being very flexible.
