Description
Intelligence products generated from sensors currently deployed on U.S. Army Airborne ISR platforms only utilize data from a single sensor modality. As such these products are limited in both current capability and the ability to extend to new intelligence missions. Toyon Research Corporation proposes to develop and implement advanced sensor fusion algorithms for EO/IR and 3D point cloud data. The algorithms leverage measurement data fused in the image and 3D space to perform Aided Target Recognition/Detection (AiTR/AiTD) as well as persistent target tracking. Toyon proposes to utilize convolutional neural networks (CNNs) trained to detect specific objects of interest, such as military vehicles, in the fused data.
