Description
Positively identifying a target at tactical ranges is a formidable task that is hindered by target occlusion, atmospheric turbulence, hardware limitations, focus errors, lens aberrations, and blur from unstable platforms. The solution proposed solves these issues by combining a recently developed Digital Adaptive Optics technology with advanced facial recognition algorithms, to arrive at a man-portable system capable of independent target identification.
