Description
Zebra Imagings proposed work under the FMHD Phase II effort will focus on addressing the deficiencies and requirements identified in the phase I program. Zebra will advance the proven interactive light-field display architecture initially developed under the DARPA Urban Photonic Sandtable Display to address improvement in the 3D light-field projection performance, including 3d resolution and hogel optimization. Zebra will also develop the ability to allow the system to be sourced by one or more GPUs/PCs and providing a flexible pixel interconnect framework for building larger displays. The platform will have the ability to be viewed as either a table top or wall mounted display and project a perspective correct, full-parallax, 3D light-field for all views within the projection frustum without the need for glasses or head tracking devices. The end deliverable will be a proof of concept display demonstrating the required capabilities with significant system performance and a cost reduction plan suitable for the AEGIS Combat System.
