Description

Adaptive Methods, teamed with Metron, propose to develop innovative approaches, methods and software Tactical Decision Aids (TDAs) to provide a Theater Multi-Mission Planner (TM2P) that is operationally effective andprovides high fidelity plans while remaining computationally tractable.Multi-mission planning and coordination requires focus across large data sets to develop tradeoffs between mission performance and quantifiable risk management metrics which is impractical using todays mission planning tools and methods. Theater planners must currently use a largely manual process to address the appropriate allocation and assignment of resources and assets to real world operational tasking. This manual process is very time consuming and it has the potential to draw operators away from other necessary tasks and risks reducing observations of important information. Our proposed Phase I approach has the overarching objectives of developing a technology basis for TM2P and demonstration of its feasibility using analytic and demonstrative methods. The Adaptive Methods team proposes to develop the initial concept for Theater Multi-Mission Planner (TM2P) capability, with an initial focus on Theater Anti-Submarine Warfare (TASW) in a background of total theater level force missions.
