Description
CAMX Power proposes to develop a safe, battle damage-tolerant lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery technology that is suitable for structural integration in military vehicles. The proposed technology will address the need for a structural battery disposed on the surface of a military vehicle to remain functional in the event that it sustains some amount of battle damage. This novel battery, based on CAMX Powers proprietary CAM-7 cathode material and a lithium titanate anode material, will also provide the extended temperature range performance, energy density and cycle life needed to meet demands for increased vehicle battery energy imposed by new electrically powered technologies and by expanded missions such as Silent Watch, while not requiring that the vehicles be enlarged to accommodate it.
